It’s been confirmed that work is to start on repairing two damaged roads in West Donegal.
Irish Water has agreed to fund the work on the Quay Road in Dungloe and the Glenties to Fintown Road after the utility carried out pipe replacement works in both areas almost two years ago.
Road works on the Glenties to Fintown road is to begin this week while work at Dungloe is set to start next week.
Local Cllr Marie Therese Gallagher says while it’s positive that the issue is finally being addressed, its regrettable that it took so long to get to this stage:
