A Donegal councillor says the government is talking out of both aides of its mouth when it comes to the emigrant community.
Cllr John Seamais O’Fearraigh says on the one hand, emigrants are being urged to come home, on the other hand, there are obstacles in terms of planning, drivers licences, bank accounts and other essential services.
He wants the council and government to put in place a system to ease their return home. If not, he says, then talk about commitment to the diaspora is just lip service…………..
