Emergency personnel attached to the rescue 118 helicopter have been praised for their swift response to an incident on Arranmore Island at the weekend.
It’s understood that a person fell ill on the island on Friday night and the helicopter arrived within minutes to carry out a medical evacuation.
The individual was then taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for further treatment.
