PSNI investigating attack on delivery driver on Urney Road, Clady

Detectives investigating an attack on a man in the Clady area on Friday night are appealing for witnesses and information.
Police received a report shortly after 7:50pm that a delivery driver on Urney Road was approached by two masked men.
One man was reported to be armed with a metal pole while the second man with what was described as a small handgun.
A window of the delivery driver’s van was smashed. The victim, aged in his twenties, was struck with the pole, and kicked and punched to his head and face a number of times.
The victim attended hospital having suffered a number of injuries, including to his back, knees and legs.
Detectives are working to establish a motive for the attack.
