The National Broadband Plan may face further delays


The National Broadband Plan could face further delays.
Some private broadband operators say they will challenge the plan if the government signs off on a multi-million euro rural internet scheme in the coming days.
They believe the plan fails to take their existing broadband services and commercial plans for the future into account.
The Environment Minister last week declined to comment on whether his department would award the € 3 billion euro contract to David McCourt’s National Broadband Ireland.
However Peter O Dwyer, Business Correspondent with the Sunday Business Post says any such challenge would delay the process further:
