A company which is backing a new digital hub in Letterkenny says a new digital mapping system could help speed up the rollout of broadband across Ireland.
Esri Ireland, which specialises in Geographic Information Systems, has implemented a new system for telecom network service provider, KN Circet.
KN Circet is expanding its Design and Innovation Hub in Letterkenny, from which designs will be sent out to teams on the ground, assessed, and then sent back for modification where necessary.
Dermot O’Kane of Esri Ireland says it means up to a 20% reduction in the time taken for KN Circet engineers to complete network operations………
