Donegal Convention Report


Declan Martin was elected unopposed to the position of County Secretary at last night’s Donegal County Convention which was held in Ballybofey.
The Naomh Muire man takes over the role from Aideen Gillen who stood down after her five year term.
Former Chairman Sean Dunnion was elected the to the Central Council while Seamus O’Domhnaill and Pj McGowan will be Donegal’s representatives in Ulster.
The cost of running teams in football in hurling was down almost 58 thousand on the previous year, 51 thousand of that was saved in players travelling expenses.
Overall running costs were down nearly 19 thousand with income up 304 thousand due to an increase in fundraising.
The debt has been reduced from 603 thousand to 482 thousand.
