There are genuine fears that more post offices in Donegal could shut their doors in the near future.
The Irish Post Masters Union is warning that hundreds of Post Offices right across the country are in danger of closure if next Government does not act.
They are calling for all parties and candidates to commit to a Public Service Obligation (PSO) being introduced for Post Offices, and also for many more Government services provided through the Network.
It follows a 7% decrease in Post Office business last year.
