The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is asking people to make an appointment to donate blood.
It’s continuing its clinics however is implementing an appointment system during the coronavirus outbreak.
There’s been a drop of 13 per cent in the number of people attending, however there has been a very slight drop in the supply required due to the cancellation of elective surgeries.
