Motorists are being warned that there will be an increased Garda presence across Donegal over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
This marks the first Bank Holiday weekend since Covid-19 travel restrictions were lifted and, as a result, a big increase in traffic is expected.
Those heading to the likes of holiday homes or other tourist destinations in the county are being asked to leave ample time for their journey and adhere to the rules of the road.
Assistant Garda Commissioner Paula Hilman says there will also be extra detections carried out for drink and drug driving over the course of the weekend:
