Mark English finished third in the men’s 800m at the True Athletes Classic in Germany on Sunday afternoon.
The Finn Valley AC man finished in third in a time of 1:45.51 which is just 0.31 seconds off the automatic Olympic qualifying time.
English decided to compete in Germany instead of at the Senior National Championships in Santry in a hope to get the qualifying Olympic time.
