NI Executive to consider scrapping need for masks in schools

The Stormont Executive will today consider scrapping the need for masks in schools in Northern Ireland.

Ministers are meeting later to decide whether to lift more Covid-19 restrictions.

They’ll also consider ending ‘bubbles’ in schools – and self-isolation rules for young people.

It comes amid high levels of Covid in the North, along with lots of vaccine hesitancy among young people.
