The banking and mortgage sector are one of the biggest players in the Mica crisis.
That’s according to a member of the 100% redress campaign team who has been part of drafting a letter and making it available to homeowners with the intention of it being sent to banks and mortgage providers.
The letter sets out a number of key points including asking the bank if they have set up dedicated Mica and Pyrite departments on advice from Government and to come out publicly and state if they are recording the true value of affected properties.
The letter is also asking banks to ask the Government to clarify if additional buildings such as; second homes, business premises and farm buildings will be included in the Mica Redress Scheme.
