Former HSE head calls for parents to consider benefits of vaccinating children

A former head of the HSE is urging people to attend walk-in Covid vaccination centres throughout the country today.

At least 16 are operating – including the walk-in centre at the LYIT in Letterkenny, which is open from 2:30 to 4pm, administering first or second doses of the Pfizer vaccine to anyone over 12.

Former HSE director-general, Tony O’Brien, says parents shouldn’t be worried about getting their children vaccinated, due to the numerous proven health benefits of vaccination.
