Northern Lights could be visible over Ireland again in two weeks time

The Northern Lights could be visible from Ireland again, next month.

We mostly see them when the Sun’s really active – and a new flare of energy is now hurtling towards Earth.

It’s due to arrive in around a fortnight’s time.

The green, purple, and blue lights – also known as Aurora Borealis – often appear above Iceland and Norway – but sightings in Ireland are relatively rare.
