‘Intensive’ protocol talks underway in London

European Union officials are in London for what the UK government says it hopes are ‘intensive’ talks.

The meeting comes after the EU proposed reducing the number of checks on British goods arriving into Northern Ireland by up to 80 percent.

It’s hoped tensions surrounding trade rules will be eased.
