Pop up vaccine clinics being opened for students

 

12 pop up clinics are being opened for students at colleges today so they can receive their second vaccine.

The Higher Education Minister’s announced Vaccination Week is being extended.

Pop-up vaccination centres were set up across 15 college sites two weeks ago. Over 3,000 students received a vaccine with over half of them receiving their first dose.

Minister Simon Harris says starting today. they will return to 12 of those campuses to ensure those who received their first dose can access their second. but adds that these sites will be open for people to receive their first dose too.

The clinics will be in:Maynooth University, TU Dublin – Blanchardstown, Grangegorman and Tallaght; Dublin City University; Trinity College Dublin;University of Limerick; NUI Galway; Munster Technological University; University College Cork; Technological University of the Shannon Limerick Campus and Mary Immaculate College.

Vaccination centres will also be open in Sligo, Letterkenny, UCD, Carlow, Tralee, Dundalk and Moate for students to access.

He’s also confirmed a rapid antigen testing pilot would be extended to seven campuses this autumn.
