Hedges in east Donegal becoming ‘serious safety hazards’

 

 

It’s been claimed that some hedges in rural parts of east Donegal are becoming serious safety hazards.

In particular, the route which houses Drumkeen National School is a big worry locally, with children walking to and from school however the hedges are said to be impacting motorist’s ability to see in good time.

An unseasonably mild autumn has in turn led to a lot of growth but there’s concern that there’s not enough cutting is being done.

Local Cllr Martin Harley says if landowners don’t address it, then there’s an onus on Donegal County Council to step in:
