The Department of Health has reported an additional 2,966 cases of Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland today – that’s the highest daily figure of cases since the middle of January.
However hospital numbers continue to fall slightly, with 470 Covid patients now in hospitals, down 11 from yesterday.
Of those, there are now 92 patients in ICU, a drop of five compared to Friday.
