SF to bring healthcare motion to Dail

 

Sinn Fein is to bring forward a motion in the Dail later on a number of issues including a “fair pay allowance” for student nurses and midwives.

The motion is calling on the Government to publish a detailed timeline setting out when and how they will ensure safe staffing levels are secured in our hospitals.

It comes as healthcare workers are due to start receiving their booster jab this weekend after the National Immunisation Advisory Committee approved it.

Over 60s are also in line for a booster.

But Donegal Deputy Padraig McLochlainn says the Government must take further steps to support healthcare staff:
