Letterkenny University Hospital was again the second most overcrowded hospital in the country this morning, with 44 admitted patients awaiting beds this morning, five of them on Emergency Department trolleys.
In Sligo, there were 15 people awaiting beds, 10 in the ED.
Nationally there were 430 people without beds, the highest number, 48, at University Hospital Limerick.
