The Central Council of the GAA will decide this weekend whether to bring back pre season inter county competitions for 2022.
The likes of the McKenna Cup in Ulster were being shelved with collective inter-county training recommended to start on the 1st January.
However it’s been decided to permit training sessions from the 15th December which paves the way for challenge matches and pre season tournaments to start in January.
