The number of new cars registered in Donegal is up over 2%.
619 new cars were registered in the county last month, up from 604 during the same period the previous year.
Nationally, however, new car registrations for January are down slightly.
According to the Society of the Irish Motor Industry, over 25,000 new cars were registered last month with a significant growth for electric and hybrid vehicles.
