A Donegal TD has expressed scepticism about the EU’s Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, which has been debated in the Dail ahead of its adoption by the Irish government.
The fund’s aim is to strengthen and develop all aspects of the common European asylum system, with a number of stated aims, including support for legal migration, countering irregular migration, and ensuring effectiveness of return and readmission in third countries.
