Donegal County Council is being urged to prioritise both Rathmullan and Portsalon Piers in future funding opportunities.
There’s said to be a huge demand for both piers but there is concern over the current state of the infrastructure in the two areas.
A funding opportunity is available through the newly announced Brexit reserve fund for medium sized piers and harbours and the local authority only have to provide 15% of the overall cost.
