Agriculture and Marine Minister Charlie McConalogue met this morning with Donegal County Council’s Fisheries Committee.
Minister McConalogue discussed the Seafood Sector Taskforce report, and said there is an emphasis on ensuring that the economic of the Irish catch is maximised through investment in processing.
He said there was significant input from the county in coming up with the report’s, recommendations, including a substantial decommissioning scheme which is being implemented.
