McCauley says lifting mask rules would be ‘premature’

Regulations mandating facemasks to be worn in shops, public transport and schools are expected to be dropped.

NPHET will meet tomorrow, and is expected to replace the rules with guidance urging people to continue wearing face coverings.

Stranorlar based Dr Denis McAuley chairs the Irish Medical Organisation’s GP Committee – He believes this would be premature.
