Public consultation to take place on improving Bridgend road

There are big plans afoot for Bridgend with a planned project set to significantly improve the road through the village.

It’s estimated that the Donegal – Derry route facilities more than 19,000 vehicles in both directions every day.

The project is geared towards upgrading a 1.2km section through Bridgend and onto the border.

A public consultation is due to take place on March 30th in An Grianan Hotel in Burt.

Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council Cllr Jack Murray says the area is of huge strategic importance to the wider North West region:
