Chief Fire Officer says there have been some gorse fires in Donegal

People are being warned that the weather conditions are perfect for wildfires and have been asked to take appropriate steps to prevent fires from occurring.

The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine has issued a Fire Danger Notice, Condition Orange, for all areas where hazardous fuels such as gorse, heather, dried grasses, and other vegetation exist.

The Notice is in place until Tuesday.
