Mona McSharry advances to semi-finals of 100m Breaststroke at European Championships

Mona McSharry has qualified for this evening’s semi-finals of the 100 metre Breaststroke at the European Swimming Championships in Rome.

She swam a time of 1:07.3, putting her fifth-fastest and safely into the next round of competition.

The Sligo native, who swims out of the Marlins Swimming Club in Ballyshannon, will be joined in the semi-finals by fellow Irishwoman Niamh Coyne who posted the eleventh-fastest time.

Both of them will be in action for the semi-finals at 5:25 Irish time this evening.
