The CEO of Donegal County Council has praised Paul McGinley for his vision to make the county a golfing destination.
The second Irish Legends Golf Tour, presented by the McGinley Foundation gets underway today at the Rosapenna Hotel, Downings and will see thousands flock to the area.
A Festival of Golf is taking place this weekend also to coincide with the event.
At a civic reception held yesterday to award the golfer the Freedom of Donegal, he talked about how the county being recognised as a golfing destination would positively impact job prospects and the economic development of Donegal.
