The Donegal Athletic Board have announced their Athlete of the Year award winners for 2022.
No surprise, that Mark English who in recent weeks won European 800m bronze, has been named as the Senior Male and Overall Athlete of the Year.
The Finn Valley clubman was due to run tonight in Italy but has withdrawn from the event.
The Senior Female category went to Letterkenny AC’s Ann Marie McGlynn who also competed at the Europeans in Munich.
Tir Chonail duo Fintan Dewhirst and Lucy McGlynn were named Junior Athletes while Finn Valley’s Ciara Kearns and Milford’s Martin Kerr were honoured as the Master Athletes of the Year.
