As many as 50 children in parts of North Inishowen are without school transport.
Bus capacity issues continue to affect students in the Glengad, Malin, Culdaff, Carndonagh and Clonmany areas.
Inishowen Councillor Martin McDermott says the pressure needs to remain on to ensure the Department acts and makes the funding available to Bus Eireann to run additional buses.
He says leaving children without school transport is totally unacceptable:
