A man has been arrested and a number of items seized following the search of two properties in Derry last night.
The 40-year-old was arrested under the Terrorism Act and taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station for questioning.
Detective Inspector Corrigan says the search, and subsequent arrest, is part of an investigation into the activities of the INLA in the north west.
A mobile phone was seized during one of the searches.
Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact detectives on 101.
