Concerns have been raised that the new traffic light system at the Pearse Road in Letterkenny is starting to impact businesses and the image of the town.
Cllr Gerry McMonagle raised concerns saying it seems the new traffic lights are hindering rather than helping the traffic in the town.
He called for a public consultation to be held to gather the views of businesses, as well as taxi and bus drivers.
The council says the Letterkenny Transportation Plan is currently being progressed and this includes a public consultation.
Cllr McMonagle says it is becoming impossible to get around the town, and if the traffic system isn’t working then it needs to be corrected…………..
