Marty Lynch of Milford AC won the Donegal East Three Quarter’s Marathon which started and finished in Ballybofey.
He clocked a time of 1 hour 50 minutes, 48 seconds, to finish well ahead of Hughie Taggert (2:00.32) of the Keep er Lit club, with Charlie O’Donnell of Rosses AC in third (2:04.20).
The first female was Ciara Toner of City of Derry Spartans AC.
In the Half Marathon, Kyle Doherty, also of City of Derry Spartans AC, was first over the line in 1:10.07, six and half minutes ahead of Noel Diver of Rosses AC with Milford AC’s Paddy Ryan in third in 1:17.18.
Sarah McDonnell was the first female in 1:38.10.
The weather was excellent for the event over the undulating course to the west of Jackson’s Hotel which was the race headquarters for the Excel Sports organised event.
