Sinn Fein poll at record 37 percent support following budget

A new opinion poll today shows that Sinn Fein have maintained their lead at the top, with 37 percent support – a record for the party.

The party now has a 16 percent lead over Fine Gael and a 20 point lead over Fianna Fail.

The Ireland Thinks/Sunday Independent poll also revealed that 51 percent of voters who do not own their own home are backing Sinn Fein.

Notably there’s been no sign of the traditional post budget boost in approval for the Government parties.
