The North’s Policing Board is set to deciede tomorrow on a proposal to sell the former Castlederg PSNI station in a process which Sinn Fein alleges has excluded a social housing association.
APEX have been working with Derry City and Strabane District Council to secure the property but it’s claimed the PSNI Asset Estates Branch ruled them out because they didn’t meet a deadline to submit plans over the summer.
West Tyrone MLA says a request for a short extension to allow the bid be completed was not responded to, and the council is now asking the Policing Board to delay a decision on the final sale.
He says the deadline was an unreasonable one…………
