Eight people remain in hospital after Friday afternoon’s tragic explosion at a shop and filling station in Creeslough, with seven people being treated locally for non life threatening injuries, and one in a critical condition in a hospital in Dublin

The road around the premises is closed and a large fence is being constructed around the wreckage.

One of the gardai who attended the scene in Creeslough on Friday was Garda Representative Association President Brendan O’Connor.

He says everyone, from the emergency services to the public, played a part in the response to the tragedy, and there was a determination that the operation would continue until everything possible was done……….
