Vigil in memory of Creeslough victims to take place at European Parliament

A vigil will be held this afternoon afternoon outside the European Parliament to remember those who have lost their lives in Creeslough.

Midlands North West MEP Maria Walsh says the vigil, at 2.45 local time, will give the Irish community in Brussels an opportunity to come together alongside their fellow Europeans to pay tribute to all those affected by the tragedy.

In addition to this there will be a book of condolences opened in the Parliament in Brussels, and next week in Strasbourg during the October plenary session.

It’s expected tributes will also be paid in the Dail this afternoon as it resumes after the weekend.
