Donegal county Council has held a minutes silence in honour of Private Séan Rooney.
A special meeting of Donegal County Council is taking place in Lifford this morning.
Councillors and officials stood for a minutes silence in memory of Private Sean Rooney who was killed after a convoy was attacked in Lebanon.
He was a native of Newtowncunningham and a past pupil of St Eunan’s College.
