The flood relief scheme in Glenswilly is 90 percent complete with no signs off flooding after a period of torrential rain.
Last year, the road in the vicinity of Glenswilly National School flooded on a number of occasions leaving some residents trapped in their homes and the road impassable.
Works are currently ongoing to resolve the issue and are now 90 percent complete.
Local Councillor Donal “Mandy” Kelly has welcomed the progress and says he was delighted to see the road did not flood after a period of torrential rain over Christmas..
