The iconic North West 200 and all other motorcycle road races in Northern Ireland have been cancelled this year.
The Belfast Telegraph today reports the soaring cost of Public Liability insurance led to the decision last night by the Motor Cycle Union of Ireland.
With costs to clubs exceeding €50,000, they say national road races have seen rates treble since 2022.
