A quantity of ammunition has been recovered by detectives of the Police Services Terrorism Investigation Unit in Derry.
The seizure was the result of a planned search in in the Ballymagroarty area as part of ongoing investigations into the activities of the New IRA.
This follows the arrest of a 37 year old man in a separate search of Ballymagroarty yesterday who has since been released after questioning.
