There’s outrage in West Donegal following a sheep kill on Magheroarty Beach.
It’s believed a dog was let off its lead on the beach and subsequently attacked a sheep in the area, killing it.
There’s been repeated calls for dog owners to act responsibly during lambing season. There are also warning signs erected on the beach warning pet owners to not let their dog off the leash.
Councillor Micheál Choilm Mac Giolla Easbuig is appealing to dog owners to heed the warnings:
