A woman has been hospitalised after being assaulted in Ballyshannon.
The woman, in her 20s was taken to Sligo University Hospital for treatment to what Gardaí have described as non life-threatening injuries following the attack at a residence in the town at 1am on Wednesday.
A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and has since been charged.
