Jellyfish with a potentially painful sting were identified on Carrickfinn beach at the weekend.
The local ‘Carrickfinn’ Facebook page noted that there were lots of jellyfish about the beaches, most of which are harmless. However, the page identified compass jellyfish, which are listed as painful.
