The Donegal Fire Service has issued an appeal on social media for the public to charge tech devices in a safe way.
The advice includes using devices that only carry the genuine CE safety mark, avoiding charging on beds and couches or leaving a device overnight.
Sockets should also not be overloaded.
They say these simple steps could prevent fires in homes and offices.
