DUP welcomes resignation of PSNI Chief Constable

The DUP has welcomed the resignation of the chief constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland.

Simon Byrne stepped down after a number of controversies – including a major data breach last month, and the inappropriate discipling of two officers.

Details of 10-thousand officers were put online by mistake.
