A man is due to appear before Derry Magistrates Court today as part of an ongoing terrorism investigation.
The 43 year old has been charged with possession of firearms and explosives.
It follows a number of searches in the city last week.
As is normal procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
